What happens when science and art collide?

In this hands-on STEAM workshop, participants will experiment with watercolor and salt to discover how simple materials can create stunning, unexpected effects. As water spreads pigment across the paper, salt is sprinkled in to absorb moisture and form crystal-like patterns—turning each artwork into a mini science experiment.

Artists will explore concepts like absorption, evaporation, texture, and cause-and-effect while practicing creative decision-making and color mixing. This playful process encourages curiosity, observation, and creative risk-taking, showing how artists think like scientists and scientists think like artists.
