Salary Range: $85,000 to $100,000
Schedule: 40 hours per week/occasional weeknights and weekend availability

Responsibilities
About the Role
La Nube seeks a dynamic and experienced Grants Program Director to oversee and manage all aspects of the organization’s grants program. This role is instrumental in identifying funding opportunities, building relationships with grant-making organizations, preparing compelling proposals, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of securing funding and managing grant portfolios to support mission-driven initiatives.
The Grants Program Director will work under the general supervision of the Vice President of Development & Stakeholder Relations, overseeing and executing La Nube’s grant program. The Grants Program Director will also serve as the liaison, when appropriate, to funding partners, helping the organization build crucial relationships and partnerships.

- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing, grants management, or a related role.
- Have proven success in securing and managing six-figure (or larger) grants and consistently securing over $1M in grant funds within a fiscal period.
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Proven experience in grant writing, with a track record of successfully securing grants from diverse sources.
- Demonstrate strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software; familiarity with donor databases (e.g., DonorPerfect) is a plus.
- Are a strategic thinker with a passion for La Nube’s mission and programs.
- Are a relationship builder who can engage diverse stakeholders.
- Have a strong understanding of grant regulations and compliance.
- Possess proficiency in budget development and financial management.

Essential Functions
- Strong Research Ability- Research and identify potential funding sources, including, but not limited to foundations, corporations, and government agencies in alignment with La Nube’s mission, priorities and programming initiatives.
- Innovative Program Development - Design and develop grant programs and initiatives with the guidance and support of the CEO, V.P. of Development and Stakeholder Relations and V.P. of Learning and Experiences
- Strong Writing Capability - Create impactful, persuasive, well-researched grant proposals.
- Strong Project Management Skills - including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Relationship Building and Donor Stewardship - Serve as a liaison to build and maintain relationships with existing and potential funders, keeping them informed about La Nube progress and outcomes. Understanding of stewardship and cultivation practices.
- Cross Departmental Collaboration - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Personal qualities of leadership, integrity, credibility, and commitment to La Nube’s vision and purpose
- Exceptional People Skills – enjoy working with people of varying ages and abilities
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and a high level of accuracy in preparing and editing grant materials.
- Manage grant applications and financial/demographic reports to secure funding for operations and programming needs.
- Collaborate with other program directors, Administration/Finance, Human Resources departments to gather information and data needed for grant applications and reporting.
- Ensure adequate time management is used to manage and facilitate the full grant lifecycle, including proposal development, submission, tracking, reporting and stewardship of awarded grants.
- Competency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficiency in using technology and software for grant research, application, and reporting.
- Utilize innovation and research to streamline the grants process in any way possible.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure alignment of messaging and branding in grant proposals and materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and data in a clear and compelling manner.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and creativity, with experience in creating programs serving children and families.
- Ability to communicate proficiently both verbally and in writing in the English language.
- Provide backup assistance to other team members to ensure continuity of services.
Physical Demands/Occupational Hazards
This position is highly active. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
- Observe and react to the needs of guests, team members, volunteers, and community partners.
- Frequent movement throughout the STEAM Center.
- Manipulate, lift and/or move materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Frequent bending/stooping, kneeling, reaching.
- Communicate safety hazards.
- Occasional work in outdoor elements (may consist of harsh heat or cold).
- Occasional walking on uneven surfaces.
- Occasional exposure to leaning edges and glass barriers.
- Observe State and Federal OSHA safety standards.
