EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Long-time educator and former principal of Socorro Independent School District’s Purple Heart Elementary School was named on Wednesday as the Vice President of Learning and Experiences at El Paso’s forthcoming children’s museum, La Nube.

Deana White, a long-time public school educator and former principal of SISD’s Purple Heart Elementary School, will serve as the Vice President of Learning and Experiences at La Nube, the museum announced Wednesday.

My goal is that La Nube becomes a cultural centerpiece for our region and beyond,” said White. “I want guests to enjoy learning through play, step out of their comfort zones, and build skills like grit and ingenuity. Through diverse partnerships in our community, we are committed to empowering all learners. In her capacity as VP of Learning and Experiences, White will oversee the development, execution and evaluation of programs, events, curricula and resources.
